From Linda: My First Hours in Montreal

ppac_morganFrom Linda Morgan, M.B.A., R.Ph., member People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council

I arrived early in Montreal for the 3rd World Parkinson Congress, which will officially start on Tuesday.

I came in early to be part of an ‘historic’ dinner and meeting between researchers from the Parkinson Study Group (PSG) and those of us involved with Parkinson’s Advocates in Research (PAIR).

It turns out that for the first time, PSG will have patient representatives on their Working Groups and Scientific Review Committees! Very exciting stuff!!!

After the dinner, I walked back to my place with my fellow PDF People with Parkinson’s Advisory Committee (PPAC) member, Tom Palizzi. Our 15 minute walk lasted over an hour as we met new and old friends on the street – Lizzie Graham, Richard Wyse, Israel Robledo, Tom Isaacs and Lindsay and others.

What energy, now I must go to bed to ready for a new day! Keep up with me and other advocates this week as we report back to you about WPC!
